Hi
Following my recent post on Brecourt manor (which incidentally I have not been able to reply to as my school network will not allow access to it:_| ) I was wondering whether there is any 10.5 cm guns out there in 1/35 as the only ones i can find are mounted on tanks. Cheers. Nick

From photos I've seen of the various batteries firing on the Normandy beaches, it seems that the dominant type is the leFH18 10.5cm Model 1940M. This had the tubular trail arms and the muzzle brakes.
It's AFV Club kit 35089 German 10.5cm Howitzer (Late Version).

The link that David kindly provided is the earlier type, used pre-war and in early war settings.

The Precision Models 15cm s.F.H.18 differs enough that you might want to take alook at it as well.

No. The 15cm sFH18 is in a completely different class. It was considered standard "heavy" field artillery whereas the 10.5cm leFH18 was "light" field artillery. These were the weapons of the self propelled "Hummel" and "Wespe", respectively.
Within divisional artillery regiments, the first 9 batteries would be leFH18 10.5 howitzers while the last three batteries would be sFH18. For a good study on German arty, look at Concord's "SS-Artillery Reg 4, SS-Polizei-Division"
Verlinden, Gunze Sangyo (and probably the old Airmodel) each make the sFH18 along with Precision Models in 1/35 too. I built up the VP one a while back. It's an impressive piece.
