Well, the only tank I could do is Irzyk's Sherman. Hope I could finish it in time.

Hi all
I just enlisted as I really want to do a Skybow Tiger in the C&M of Michael Wittmann "1331", Ostfront 1943.
The Armour Modelling Mag 8/2005 is a great inspiration for this tank and it has the nice figures which I am going to use too. I have some Hauler grilles and I'll maybe add Lionmarc (or other) fuel tanks and tracks.
It may take a while as I have a lot of stuff to do for my other campaigns ...
best wishes
Steffen

Well, I just enlisted. I am running the MEOW campaign, but I'm sure I'll have plenty of time by December to squeeze out my entry. I have collected material to do Barkmann's Panther D. Got the correct Zimmerit and going to use the Dragon version of the "D"

If I can get some more info on the particular style of hoods, transmission cover etc of Akilla a Sherman Mk III commanded by Sgt George Dring 1st Nottinghamshire Yeomanry, 8th Armoured Brigade, who destroyed five German tanks in a day during operation Epsom and who knocked out 13 panzers in his career then I'll enlist

well we got plenty of time until the campaign ends so I am sure we'll get our projects finished .
Me I have found some valuable info re. Abrams' Sherman via Roy Chow (thanks dude ) : I'll add a .30cal to the CWS and correct the decals plus some tweaks. This should be it mainly.
Irzyk's tank is even less documented. I'll swap the tracks for the T66's and will only add some detail to it. I will however use the kit fenders.
off now ... regs - Andreas -

This will be my first campaign ever (hell, it will be my first Diorama ever) and I have decided to build a small diorama showing lt. Kolobanov's
KV-1, waiting for the germans on Aug. 18 1941.
He singlehanded killed 22 tanks and two towed guns in 30 minuts of battle before he was forced to withdraw. His tank was hit 135 times without any of the hits penetrating the hull

There are few. Otto Carius is the most famous one. He was a tiger ace later moved on to JT.

Here's is an interview of interview of Otto Cauris at the Shizuoka Hobby Show. An interesting read:

hi guys, will it be alright if 2 or 3 guys enlisted for the campaign do the same tank ace? with limitted sources for the aces..and the number of members enlisted..there will surely be a shortage of aces for the campaign....just wondering.

I am pretty sure there will be more than one Michael Wittmann
so you should be OK.

I once read about a Jagdtiger destroying 40 US tanks on the western front. Could that have been Carius?

Lol I just couldn't resist, I also bought a Tiger. So now I can build Carius' Jagdtiger and Tiger I. They should look nice together with Carius his picture next to it.

Here's my update, I must admit I am a very slow builder. The hulls are getting somewhere finally :
Plan is to set at least one of them into a winter dio ...

Well, I've got the build done and the Panzer yellow base. Gotta do the green and brown "stripes" and then figure how I can best put on tank numbers (use a mask or some classy decals) Then weathering and wear and tear stuff.. Should be done in a week or so if Ihave no distractions

Hi everybody, I just enlisted in the campain and have acouple of questions about my subject that I plan to submit.
I plan to enter a Michael Whitmen's Tiger 1 which is Dragons 3in1 Tiger I,combined with the interier from the Academy mid production Tiger 1.
Ok first question, I started the constructions last month(July), which the turret is complete, but not the hull. Can i still enter the campain, sense I already started it. Which i plan to post pic of it later.
Second question, How historically correct does it need to be, I mean I've done alot of research about my subject but with the paint job i can't find the patterns of cammo he, (Whitman) might have had on his Tiger 1. I do know before he was killed, the three color scheme was used on his "007" Tiger 1
Any help or links would be greatly appreciated.
:-)

Hi Mike,
sure you can enter. Start date was June 01st so July is not a problem. Sorry I don't have any links re that tank, but there's some footage in the latest issue of AFV modeler (if I recall that correctly) ...
Here's my Abrams Thunderbolt, close to the finish line
I want to do a winter dio with that so it's still some way to go, but the kit is almost finished I'd say ...
