The four pictures below are from my friend, Spanky McFarland who has
callsign Bubba53. I can't help him to upload his own pix since I'm a
dummy, a Macintosh user, and the PC uploads differently than my Mac.

Spanky is bringing this to Kansas City in the USA for the IPMS/USA
National convention. It will be one of his armor entries. This is a 1:35th
WWII Italian 210mm motar emplacement. Spanky will be glad to answer
any questions. Thanks for taking time to look at my friend's work.

Whoa Nelly!
I like summin different and this is summin different!
(Sorry Spanky, thought I was talking to the birdman there....)
Has a real heavy steel look about it, and your groundwork is exceptional
One thing though. Would drag ONE of the sandbags a lil crooked... I know this is probably a 'pride in its' appearance' gun emplacement, but I reckon it'd add that lil bit of individuality... Even a torn one with a bit of guts spilt on the deck?
Best of luck at the convention, although I don't reckon you'll need it!
Cheers
Brad

Fantastic piece of artillery! It looks great! It's very well build and painted and subtly weathered! A fine job in my opinion! Congratulations and good luck at the convention!
Cheers and happy modelling!

Whooooops, I shoulda' taken off one of those Roman
numerials from the name of that rather "unusal" form
of Italian Pizza delivery system.

That would be a World War One (I) 210mm mortar.

Sorry mates.

In case people don't know, it's the Criel kit of the 210 mortar. WW1 vintage and used a bit in WW2. Nice work by your friend! What a beast!

Hi Brad,
Yep,yer right about the sandbags but I kinda cheated on em cos they are the Model Victoria set to go with the 47mm AT gun.In fact I think the sandbagged emplacement should be higher.I still have a ways to go before it is finished. The scene is way to neat and needs clutter and stuff and I still need more weathering on the gun. Thanks for the kind comments,I'm having a blast.
spanky

PS:Tamiya Weathering master model makeup is the s**t,specially set #3.If you guys haven't used this stuff you should. It'll make u giggle
