Greetings all,

Some questions of the Dodge Ambulance.

Does anyone know whic American Medical Units were stationed in SE England during the early 1944 and what markings their vehicles carried?

Is there an update set for the Dodge Ambulance?

Does anyone know how to clean up plastic window glass or a suitable replacement?

Finally would anyone have any links to photographs of the Dodge in use in England during early 44. I'll check out IWM but any other links would be most welcome.

Cheers

Al

At the bottom of this article are some references. Maybe they can steer you to the markings you're inquiring about:

I know that Archer does some dry transfers too. Maybe check them out.

As for replacement of the clear parts, buy a new dress shirt and use the clear acetate collar stays. Or just look around -- think of the clear lid on a boxed corsage. Acetate is easy to find.

I've built 2 of these kits. They are nothing special. Like was recommended, get a set of Archer Transfer markings and put together waht you need to depict whatever unit you are trying to do. It is a sweet little kit and gives a ggod representation of an era ambulance. I won't attest to accuracy as the kit is based on the Peerless Max kits of the very early 70's. I have never seen a PE set for one, but then again, ambulances are pretty plain jane.

Eduard make a set of photo etched parts, Number 35814.
Also don't forget to make door handles, as there are none on the doors.
