Gino that is very very nice work. I like the weathering done on the platforms.
For some reason it warms my heart to see you join a campaign after so many years on the site. Finally gave in eh! The only down side i noticed is that you didnt enlist for the campaign.
BTW, do you think you could submit your photos for On Display through the support centre?
Thanks Jeremy. I hadn't planned on doing it for the campaign, but happened to be building it at the same time. I'm not really looking for a ribbon either, just thought I would throw it into the mix.
I do plan on sending it in as an On Display item, just need to get around to it.

Yes, I also participated in the Arty up campaign and the humvee campaign, but I have not received any ribbons.
However, I received the ribbon for the Meow campaign.

Really nice Brent!
Did you build that kit OOB or did you add anything to it. I have seen this sitting at my LHS and seeing your build has raised my interest in it.

I have sent Commanche1 a couple of ribbon ideas so I'm assuming if they are ok or if he wants something different they will be awarded sooner or later.Yes, I also participated in the Arty up campaign and the humvee campaign, but I have not received any ribbons.

My understanding is that once the campaign is over the campaign leader (in our case Commanche1) gets an "admin" option on the campaign page to award the ribbon to those that completed the campaign.how the ribons are aded to the particpants, i was in some campaigns and no ribbons appears
thanks

Hi Mate,
Pretty much OOB. A few very minors changes, Ab figs for the drivers, added window glass for the jeep, camo hoops and sight on the 17pdr amd cut down the rear spades to replicate the sit better. They're for wargaming use so didnt go over the top.
cheers

Alrighty folks, a most awsome ribbon has been awarded. I would personally like to thank Jamesite and Tomcat31 for the ribbon ideas. Thank you guys! With that, Tomcat31's was selected, and should you desire to peruse your profile, ye shall see it!

Well Mike, here 'tis - and a spectacular failure it has become:
This is an OOTB build of the old Tamiya M8 Gun Motor Carriage. Finished with Tamiya Olive Drab (quite brown, probably a little too much so), with a light dusting of "Doc O'Brien's Weathering Powders" from Micro-Mark.
I was pretty happy with the results, but decided this morning to try an artist's fixative spray from Grumbacher. "Myston Workable Fixative" (matte) to be exact. Not only is it NOT flat, it reacted with something on the tank, most likely the pigment (although not everywhere). As you can see, what should be a yellowish-brown earth color is now white.
Oh well...better to learn on a cheap kit than some tricked-out expensive one.

Don't be so hard on it! Perchance a little matt spray over and......put it is a little snowy dio....it'll look great! Kinda of weird that the "sealer" did that tho......hmmmm?
Those are really some gawkey lookin' vehicles......and, sir, glad you were able to finish!! Thanks!

TacFire -
That piece looks a lot like the US M1902 field gun. Can you tell me where you got the kit. I would love to build it.
Thanks,
Dave (Whiskey6)
