Hey all, commanche1 (John) asked that he be given a quick hand with this as he is out and about, so, here it is: The Official Thread for the
Arty Up! Campaign.
Please post your final entry(ies) here no later than January 31, 2007. Should you perchance need an extension, please inquire with commanche1. Also, should you desire (as some have already done) select this
HERE and post a couple of pictures in the Arty Up! Gallery. But, please post a picture of your finalized entry in this thread; it'll make it a lot easier for John to make sure everyone gets credit for Yellin' and Shellin'!!
Right
HERE is the link to the Campaign rules, regs, and sign-up.
Personally, as an Artilleryman, I am really looking forward to seeing your work!!

My entry for this Campaign is the Life-Like 75mm World War I Artillery Piece [with Operating Front Shield and Wheels]....which ain't so "life like." :-) It ain't much and I had hoped to get another one in (M101 or M102) but that didn't happen
My build thread is
HERE .

I joined this campaign last week so I am kind of late. I am building the Trumpeter AS-90 in 1/72nd scale.
I wish I had found out about this campaign earlier (not sure how I missed it) as I would have done something more ambitious. Ah well!
I started it last Friday and started painting it last night. I have lots of build pics that I will post on here soon. The area I live in finally has high speed internet available. I will be getting hooked up this week sometime so I will wait till then to get my pics on here.

I am pushing the time frame but I plan on having my Nebelwerfer 41 finished before the end of the month. I just have to do a little detail painting and finish the assembly and it will be finished. I planned on having it done long before now but it didn't work out that way.
Anyway I hope to have the pictures of the finished kit posted here by the end of next week.

Here is my Nebelwerfer 41 with the base coat of German Grey. My plan is to finish it up before the end of the month so that it can be included in the campaign. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. Other than painting the tires and a few of the smaller details I don't plan on doing much more to it. I plan on it looking like it is basically fresh from the factory ready to go into combat.
This has been my first campaign and I have learned that you shouldn't wait until the last minute to finish something up.
Thanks for looking.

When you said "Arty Up" I took you seriously, so here is my arty going up. It's the MRC UH-60 with AFV Club's M102 as a slingload underneath.

Here my entry for the campaign. It's Trumpeter's 1/72 AS-90 in "Op Telic" scheme. Before anyone say any thing i noticed after taking the photos that i forgot to paint the tools and have since rectified that.

Here is my Italeri M7 Priest. I've added Eduard PE, DML tracks and .50 cal, and Academy Suspension with spoked wheels. Stowage is by various manufacturers from my spares bin. Photos are in the Arty Up! campaign album.

Well..............I guess this is what happens when you wait until the last minute to do something. I had planned on posting the pictures of my finished Nebelwerfer 41 today. However I see that the Photo Gallery is not up and running. Soooooooo...............I hope that you will take my word for it when I say that my project is completed. Hopefully it will be back up and running later tonight or at least by tomorrow and I will be able to post the pictures.
So there is the lesson boys and girls....................never put anything off until the last minute!!

Thanks John, I appreciate it.
Thank you also for the idea of this campaign. I wasn't really interested in taking part in one until I saw yours. It has sparked my interest and I plan on joining others in the future. I did join the Achtung Jabo campaign. Hopefully I won't be pushing the time limit like I did with yours!
Anyway thanks again and hopefully Jim will be able to get the gallery back up by tomorrow.

PS. Any ideas for a future campaign?
