Finally got my Kitmaker account to work
Here is a Left Side shot of the MGS. Notice that the Winch Pocket has been removed and filled in.
A photo of the Right Rear. There is not extra plate on the rear as shown in the photo in the beginning of this post
Hope this helps, there are more in my photo gallery.

Really going to be a nice addition to the stash, and eventually put on display. I don't know if I want to add the slat armor to mine (if it gets produced). I like the look of this machine just as it is in the posted photos. Personal preference and all that...
I think that while I wait for this one to come out, I'll take a stab at making a USMC variant of the MGS out of an LAV-25 and my imagination.

I had heard from an officer in the Land Forces that the nod seems to be going to Leo 2A5s as C2 replacements. He's an AFV nut so has been keeping his ears open. Don't know if it's the official plan, but it seems likely.

Paul,
Interesting change of topic from the thread but this is not new news.
The Canadian military was enquiring about the Leo 2 back in October 2006 and the potential deal for leasing 20 Leopard 2A6 for Afghanistan and purchasing additionally up to 80 Leopard 2s came out in the press about February 11th.
A Canadian Armoured Corps team has been in Germany since about February 14th looking at the German Leopard 2s....very likely the 2A5 and the 2A6M.
There has been no official announcement yet. Good to see that people in the military still continue to spread rumours.

Actually this was a reply to the earlier comment on the potential Canadian C2 replacement with the MGS, sorry for the lag.
But, to get back on topic, I just posted a new topic regarding a new Boresight Special on the Stryker ICV and RV versions. 40 pages, full colour and a lot of detail photos of the slat armour without all the kit that normally prevents one from seeing how it all works. I think you will all be very pleased!

Join up now and it can be yours for next to nothing. Wait until we sell to non-members and, at $20, it's 2/3 of a year's membership and you would miss out on the other 6 issues of the special membership deal.
Come on, ya couldn't beat that deal with a hammer, could ya? :-)

Might as well chime in with my two cents worth: A view of the gunner's station. One of over 200 taken fairly recently.
