Brilliant! I love it! I'm already looking forward to new pictures! I thought he was using the Nimix monitor to do a conversion but this one is completely scratched.

great job, keep it up!

hey all.

first.
thank you faust, for posting my pictures..

mark:
Yes the plan was to use the nimix kit....the only leftover is the hull.
en that one is also going to be ...well let say modified.

As for anyone who want the use the nimix kit to build it or modified it...DON`T!!!
As i seen a lot of kits during the day (and years) I never have made or seen a bad (read horrible) kit as that.

Iam still looking for drawings or detail pictures, because the real work begins now!! ....
But no luck so far.

the upper turret is an example. it is not good yet!
I think it going to take 3 samples more to be happy

also the bar armour around the cunning tower ...just a sample
I will get there, it just takes a few day`s to make thing right.

As for qustions ..feel free to ask

greetings
chris

ola

that german guy is for the size... i have a bunch of pictures and books now
but no scale drawings...so i use a old german guy to help me to finding te right size.

iam doing this because most of the pic`s are from the ` 60 and off course all the boats are dark green or black green.

greetings

gentelmen.

I had to stop building half way 2007.
but the wind is turning my way again, so I I pick it of the shelf again.

Mr J.M .Carrigo sent me his book " vietnam Ironclads"
so I have 135 pages of monitors. (-:
A review on that book later on.

so iam back in the BWN monitor.
Pictures will follow as A full resin cast LVTP-6 turret is on his way!
Also Johns work, review of that turret also later on.

some progress...

gentelmen.

Did some work last night of rebuilding the anchor at te the front of the bow.
The nimix resin kit is a pain in the @#$@$..it`s wrong in size and not square..
My advise: dont buy it, or use it for scrapbox. like I do. If you want to built one of the BWN monitor PM me,I know some 2007 editions...(yes that one is next , after this one)

hey.

The postmen was verry nice to bring me my M49 turret.
But it is a "raw" casting by Masterpiece models. Ive seen the master of the turret, and that one had alot of more detail that the resin one.

So extra work is needed.
I already made a new 105mm barrel because the resin one was not round,
and had no detail at all.
I also gonna rebuild the commanders and loaders hatch and rear turret.
pppfff..I need time

pictures soon ..as I kinda lost my camera.......
