Anyone have the Italeri Folgore figure kit?

I saw the above-mentioned kit advertised and was wondering if it is a plastic styrene kit or soft plastic "toy" soldiers?
I would appreciate it if you guys could give me some guidance on this.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi Jeff

Italeri did a set of hard plastic figures for Folgore back in the 70s, they're to the usual Italeri sculpting standards ( ), but have really nice equipment. They were last reissued back in the 90s (ish) when I bought some, along with the equally naff Bersaglieri.

Not sure if they also did soft plastic figures for Folgore.

Ciao Jeff,
DON'T, I repeat DON'T bother with them. They are hard plastic and they are terrible! I am a huge fan of Italian subjects and bought them when Italeri reissued them. I was disappointed. The figures are squaty (is that a word?) and one looks like a gorilla in uniform. The equipment is so-so, but without detail. Now, on the other hand, if you can get the Bersalieri, they are worth the money. Nice poses and much finer detail.
Ciao for now

I agree with the others the Italeri figures you're looking for ave nice weapons but the rest is not good. If you're looking for quality Italian figures you can have a look to the Italian Kits or Model Victoria range.
Ciao

Thanks to all who responded!
I will check out the Bersalieri kit.
I've also seen some of the Italian Kit and Model Victoria kits and they are very nice. I'm really into the Italian stuff. I just bought the AB 41kit and I am thinking about making the plunge to the Camionetta kit. It's very interesting stuff.

Thanks again!

The Bersaglieri are good figures.

As an aside, when I bought the bersaglieri on ebay they came with a set of Italeri 1/35 Samurai. I have Tamiya and Aoshima Samurai and these ones are different.

Does anyone know about the Italeri Samurai. Mine came without the box.
