Tommy's War, a small company in England specializing in 54mm British World War 1 figures, has released two new figures from the Marne, 1914 period. Sold individually, they are designed to be displayed with one another in a small vignette.
Tommy's War has released two new 54mm figures this weekend, a Royal Engineers lieutenant and an Army Service Corps private. Both are presented as from the Marne region in 1914.

First up is TW54007, Lieutenant, Royal Engineers, The Marne, 1914. He is quite detailed and provides a great pose that allows the viewer to imagine what he might be gesturing towards.

Next we have TW54008, Private, Army Service Corps, The Marne, 1914. A motorcycle dispatch rider, he is sculpted to interact with TW54007, being briefed before leaving to deliver urgent news on German activities.

My thanks to Darren Parker-Mead of Tommy's War for providing the information and images for this news release.

Fabulous looking figures. I know it's been said before but when on earth will one of the big manufacturers break into the WWI market with some quality vehicles?

Be careful as these figures are 54mm, not 1/35 scale. Although close, the figures would still be a fair bit larger than any 1/35 vehicles on the market. On a side note, Tommy's War is preparing a detailed resin 54mm Douglas 1914 pattern motorcycle which will be great to compliment the 54008 dispatch rider. Darren Parker-Mead plans to release the motorcycle in March/April 2012. Mario

I bought a few Tommy´s War figures at the Euros last year. Beautiful figures with nice crisp detail and should be fun to paint. Will be picking up these figures as well!!
