Bronco should have just made a comment that the piece was designed like that so that one could model it sitting on uneven ground But it is nice of them to make good and to send out the notification thats good service

Bronco deseerves a lot of credit for taking positive action to fix the "engraving" error and also for providing a means to identify the corrected kits from the original releases. They did a good job with their M24 turret correction, as well, but didn't make it posible to tell the newer, corrected issues from the originals. So, this added action on their part says a great deal about how well Bronco listens to its customers. Well done, Bronco! I might add that the photos are from Terry Ashley's PMMS up-dated review, so Terry also deserves a lot of credit for his even handed reporting of the problem (after checking several different kits to be sure it wasn't just a one-time thing). A great example of how constructive critism and a receptive manufacturer who's concerned with getting it right can generate positive outcomes for all concerened! Well done to you too, Terry!

Agree completely with Mike. As someone who was just about to buy this kit, I appreciate the fact that Bronco will rectify this and let me know which boxing I should buy. Also, kudos to Terry at PMMS for actually identifying the problems and helping us, modelers, get the correct product. Thanks Bronco and Terry...Great job! Rob

Bronco is a class act. Does this only apply to the British 40mm, or is the earlier release (#35028 Canadian Bofors) effected as well?

I've built the Canadian version and it's fine. Just goes to prove that Bronco cut a whole new mould for this version instead of just playing around with the old one like most model companies would do.
