Stalingrad has some new releases which should appeal to members who like to model World War Two in the East with three Red Army Officers, some civilians, and a farmer’s cart.
These new release from Stalingrad look excellent with the three Red Army Officers being a nice addition to their Eastern Front military figure range, the uniform, facial, and crease detail is very good judging by the supplied images and should look good in most settings. The part of this release that really caught my eye is the civilian figures that have been released. The Russian refugee woman looks excellent in all aspects and depicts the features of a person who is resigned to her fate while looking in deep thought. The three Russian refugee children are excellent with the eldest child comforting the youngest child whose eyes are downcast with what looks to be a furtive glance to the right to see what is coming while cuddling her dolly. The boy included in this set is shown on the box artwork looking to his elder sibling as if looking for some kind of moral support such as “it will be alright”. These civilian figures are going to be great for diorama fans as they will fit into most dioramas regardless of where you place them within a European setting with the possible exception of the boy due to his boots. The Russian refugee figures are also available as a single purchase along with a Ukrainian farmer’s cart that is again available on its own.
