Previously announced on some of the Far-East bulletin boards, Trumpeter have now officially announced a long-awaited AFV kit, the KV-1E...
This brings to five, the number of KVs announced by Trumpeter in 1/35th scale. This is one of the more interesting variants for modellers, combining as it does, the large welded turret with additional bolted armor on the turret and hull sides.
EDIT.. Checking thru my own references and thanks to helpful posts in the forums, it has to be said that the title of the kit is fairly misleading. The model actually represents the KV-1E wth the bolted on armor. The KV-1S was a much later (1943) variant with a different turret, front plate and different suspension details (different style wheels for example)
00357 - Russia KV-1‘s' Ehkranami is a 236 piece plastic kit which has both 'rubber-band' type tracks AND (hard-plastic) link 'n length tracks which are currently amongst the best on the market. Having built one of the KVs and having two more ready to start, they are without a shadow of a doubt, the best KVs on the market at this moment and are unlikely to be beaten any time soon...
Hopefully, we can expect the KV-85 at some point in the near future....
