ICM has informed Armorama of their latest work in progress and it is news on their WWII German Light Fire Truck in 1/35th scale.
ICM has so far released an art work and some CAD drawings of this new model in the works. The images show a lot of promise with an interior and while not shown I would expect to see a fair amount of equipment in the replicated storage bins. With the announcement of the fireman figures from ICM we all knew this was on the horizon but is is good to see it taking shape.

That's a beautiful little kit there! With a little work could be turned into an ambulance or radar truck even. Do they usually have styrene tires or are they that vinyl/rubber material? ~ Jeff

Jeff working on previous releases only they are usually plastic.

Take a look at this: http://www.historical-fire-engines.com/ (LINK CORRECTED) It's a whole new world...! Certainly they have photos of red and green versions, even a grey one... maybe there's differently spec'd vehicles for different organisations? Notice the plate on the ICM artwork has the prefix POL - presumably a Police vehicle.

Matthew, I had to chop the ends off that address to get it to work, but there is neat stuff from all over Europe there. Pretty cool. thanks, Sean H.

This looks like it will be a GREAT model. I will have to get one! I might say however that after the Mercedes Med. Field Car, the 4x2 Merc 1500 lite truck and the 4x4 1500 lite truck I am getting a little tired of building the same chassis! This fire truck could have just as likely been on a Steyr chassis but I guess that would have been a job for Tamiya?
