The forums have been alive with speculation of late over the fate of the D9R Announced by MENG, Armorama has had a communication from MENG that will hopefully put the rumours to rest.
MENG has informed Armorama that rumours of the removal of the D9R are just that; rumours. They have informed us that the rumour was started from a retail outlet and it is unknown if they are responsible for it, or if they were subject of some outside group. MENG has also said the intention to release a D9R is still the case and any change in this intention will be published on their website.

Hi Karoly, Thanks for the link. Seen that combination in Afghanistan. Overthere, legal and technical road limitations differ from western world ( no news, I guess ) , so, overload and oversize is not too often a problem. But how is it done in the US? The height of this combination seems too high for many viaducts......................

The cab is like a module that you can remove without much difficulty, for them, not for us of course. At least I saw a pic of a D11R without it's cab and on a trailer last night. Should be the same for the D9R. Then again, it's only a guess. I've been wrong before and I'm sure it'll happen again. Specially when you take morphine daily (legalz of courze)

I think I will attempt to scratch build the slat armor, that some versions have. I have several photos. Does anybody know if there are line drawings that cover this?
