Ammo have release a Color profile of SS vehicles during World War 2.
Mig Jimenez new company Ammo have published a new Guide to painting WW2 German SS vehicles. With various colour charts, tips and detailed illustrations, this title should come in very handy when painting some of the complex camo Schemes used by SS units.
The addition of historical information on the vehicles used from the beginning to the very end of World War 2, should also be an invaluable aid to accurately model these subjects.

A couple of questions: where does one get it, and if only from Ammo, how much is shipping? And how big is the book? It's almost 20 Euros, is that for 10 pages or 200?

I answered my own question #1: it's 20-35 Euros to ship to my house. Next.

answer to question #2 off of the company website under the product. Direct Quote here. "Through 80 pages and more than 180 profiles, this book examines the history of colors and camouflage used by the Waffen SS on their vehicles. From a BMW sidecar 75 prior to the invasion of Poland to the King Tiger 501 s.SS.Pz.Abt used by LAH Peiper in the Ardennes, this book covers a wide variety of vehicles, colors, and camouflage used by this dark branch of the Wehrmacht. It also provides useful information about the units, fronts, and different equipment levels of this unit. With this much information, modelers will find both inspiration and useful information to deal with their next model."

Thanks, Delbert! It looks like a good buy in terms of "heft," but the shipping costs put it out of my price range.

Seems like shipping from the EU always adds a hefty charge.

Just flipping thru the pages now and its a BRILLIANT book !! Excellent profiles and descriptions starting with 1st SS LSSAH and ending with Schwere SS-Panzer-Abteilung 102. Included at the end is painting tips on an Opel Blitz that Mig has built ...GREAT STUFF

How come they don't put it in a cd format , be a lot cheaper to mail .
JAN 09, 2014 - 06:04 AM
I order mine from Michigan Toy Soldier along with the Russian camo book. As to the cd question, I imagine it's because it would be stripped and available free on file sharing sites in a matter of days. Plus, many of us like the physicalness of a real book with high grade printing versus a printer version.

You can get them from other hobby shops in the US. I got to look at them when they came in down here in TX. They are nice books and cover a lot of popular vehicles.
