Assault Models is a brand new company from Russia, producing modern figures is 1/35 scale. The figures are sculpted traditionally, but also with the help of 3D printing technology, and cast in resin.
The first releases from the company are:

AM3501 - Sniper, US Marine Corps

AM3502 - Sniper, US Marine Corps

AM35A02 - Set: 2 Snipers, US Marine Corps

These figures are sculpted in 1/35 scale by a well-known name in figure business, Dmitry Shevtsov, with the boxart painted by P. Ilyin. The figures depict USMC snipers from Djibouti, 2012.

AM3503 - Paratrooper, British Army

AM3504 - Paratrooper, British Army

AM35A01 - Set: 2 Paratroopers, British Army

These figures depict Brits from Afghanistan, 2011.

How come the Russians have all the talent, and nothing comparable from the US (or Canada)?

I asked about this years ago and the answer from sculptors was that it's not profitable to produce figure kits anymore. I know a sculptor who used to (he had his own model figure kit company), and then he moved on to producing resin statues for a theme park company, basically he went from sculpting figure kits to toys. He discovered that producing figure toys (statues, trinkets, action figures, miniatures) was more lucrative than making figure kits. What's weird is how a lot of the US and Canadian sculptors produce some really weird and funky (and often expensive) figures and busts of monsters, aliens, vintage Sci-Fi, oddballs, and half-naked warrior-women. I guess people buy them...but they sure are to a selective taste.

The EU and Asian figure market is bigger than anything the US/Canada can ever hope to have. I bet you most of the sales of Alpine Miniatures are outside the USA.

I prefer the british soldiers figures. They look well done.

I'm wondering if the ammo for these snipers would be located under the parkas. If so, then these snipers could be used as Arctic soldiers due to the parka although most Arctic soldiers would be wearing a LBV harness with ammo pouches.

About snipers, is their equipment used at war or just in training ? This pic shows soldiers in training. LINK
