I have just been given news of what we can expect from Trumpeter in the first quarter of 2007...
Three new armor kits are being listed, one in 1/35th and two in 1/72nd scale.
Dealing with 1/35th scale, a surprising announcement with:
# 362 - German Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf D/E 'Fahrgestell'.

This is the first of a new range from Trumpeter under a new 'label' - 'Expert Series'. The kit will consist of some 675 parts (on 15 sprues). However, the real story is in the subject. For anyone who has built any of the large Railguns or tracked mortars, this will be the perfect addition as the 'Fahrgestell' was the ammunition carrier for these huge artillery pieces - first time in a 1/35th scale plastic model...
Moving onto 1/72nd scale, two new releases are getting listed:
# 7239 - M113a2

and
# 7240 - M113a3

Logically, there will be more releases in armor - the Stryker, the BMP-3s are all listed for release - watch this space!
My thanks to Stevens International for the advance news.
