As to 'speculation' there is, I agree, too much (particularly the nonsense about the box-art indicating future releases).
I agree that all this talk of what is in the box and and not in the box is not useful at this point. All we can do is wait until the actual kit comes out. As far as the box-art indication, yes, it is a far-fetched speculation but I would not call it a nonsense. It is a possibility, and nothing is wrong with having some hope. After all, it was just one of speculations that DML was going to come out with a half-track. Anyways, celebration still goes on! P2G

Well, yes 2 people..Taylor and "Toadman".
Maybe you should go back and read carefully the discussion again. And it was just that, a DISCUSSION, and........ this is a discussion board. Wouldn't be surprised if you see more things discussed around here from time to time. The point wasnt, if there would be a M3 in the box, the point was there are parts to put an M3 in the box if/when Dragon decides to

Yep, those sure are my words. But you seem to miss a few things.... "IF"...... And......... Then again, the sprue shot could have been shown, only to show the evolution Dragon has planned for the kit. So, how about we get back to discussing the kit now?

In the spirit of discussing the kit....PMMS now shows a kit number of 63xx M3/M3A1 Halftrack (Future).....so the mystery deepens....

As it was only (officially) unveiled yesterday, it'll probably take a day or two for the retailers to get round to putting orders in... That said, and this is worth bearing in mind, that the demand is going to be such that many retailers will be lucky to get 25% of what they are asking for - so, once again, the watchword will be patience. The release date is set for November - don't be surprised if LHS' don't get (substantial) stocks in until January...Jim
Never hurts to go to your favorite vendor and "get dibs" on those first few kits. Gary, you and I will have to leg wrestle for whatever Frank and Gordon get in ... Mix'n and match'n with parts from old Tamiya kits, as well as any scratching that may be involved, we can build LOADS of variants of the M2/M3/M5/M9///// etc. My T-30 project, renewed by the field manual CD I acquired from Easy 1 Productions at the AMPS Nats, isonce again temporarily on hold while I wait for the Dragon kit.

Does anyone know how the tracks are going to be...individual or as the description says "rubber band?" I didn't notice individual links in the sprue shots.
SEP 27, 2006 - 01:17 AM
Neither. The tracks come in two longitudinal halves on the sprue. Injected. Vinnie

I just saw the Hunnicutt Half-track book on Amazon.com for $50 for you half-track fans. Tom
