Couple of days after the announcement the company is working on a new Abrams, Meng Model released several CAD images of their upcoming kit. Check them out, along with Meng's press release!
The New King of Land Warfare

The U.S. military has deployed a lot of M1A2 SEP tanks equipped with the Tank Urban Survival Kit (TUSK) in hot spot areas. Those latest mighty M1 tanks have excellent performance. They are often in the center of media reports and military enthusiasts’ discussions.

MENG will work with the T-REX Studio to develop a 1/35 scale M1A2 SEP TUSK I & TUSK II model kit. Like other unique MENG products, this popular subject will also bring the most excellent building experience to modellers.

This model kit, the first one developed by MENG and T-REX together will be designed by Dino Sun (Sun Liang) who was one of the founders of MENG and is now the head of the new model studio T-REX. Dino was in charge of the design of the excellent Merkava Mk.3D, the A39 Tortoise and Leopard 2A4 model kits. In future, MENG and T-REX will share the highlights of this product and the interesting development process with modellers.

At the same time, MENG invites global modellers to help perfect the final design of this model kit. Later, we will share the engineering pictures of this model. If you find anything that needs improvement, please contact MENG or the T-REX Studio on the social networking sites (incl. English, Chinese, Japanese & Russian).

Unless I'm mistaken, I don't think they ship these kits overseas by airmail.. probably by surface mail, which can take over a month.. so, in the end the HK stores will still get it first. Hisham

Hisham[/quote] Ah, OK...thanks. I have a bad habit of ordering as soon as a kit comes out in China and they end up appearing over here before I get mine, even with air mail. However, I think I will be getting 2 of these, so I can always order from both sides of the pond.
