Dragon models has announced their latest 1/35th scale model in the works. This time around it is a smart kit offering of the Su-76i.
This new kit from Dragon Models when it is released is currently promising a very nice cast texture from what I can see. The tracks are the Dragon Styrene variety, love or hate them. There is photo etch in the offing, but this being a smart kit release it is kept to a minimum.

You may actually end up with something more accurate, who knows... New plastic is not necessarily better than older resin. Are you using the Komplekt Zip sets? Cheers, Christophe

Don't feel too bad. There's a guy in Russia who is in the final process of releasing his newly done resin conversion. He's going to take a huge hit.

A lot of odd variants coming from Dragon lately, nice to see one I'm actually interested in. Interested enough to overcome my aversion to Pz. III DS tracks, even. Edit: Does anyone have any idea where to find more info about this vehicle, any books or webpages that mention it, anything regarding how/where it was used and by what units? Some quick googling doesn't turn up much, mostly World of Tanks stats. According to wikipedia (famous last words) most conversions were of tanks captured in the wake of Stalingrad and used throughout 1943.

Too bad it didn't use them... Cheers, Christophe

I thought that most of the Panzer IIIs used for this conversion were captured at Stalingrad in early 1943, so some would have had winterklettern installed.

A beute of a beute: Another project to consider.
