Trumpeter continues to surprise us with unannounced kits to complete their domination of the Soviet/Russian AFV market. In this case, we seem to have a AT-P-1 light artillery tractor based on the T-70M light tank. Aside from a photo on their Facebook page, they haven't released anything else about arrival dates and so forth.

I believe the base vehicle here is the ASU-57....hmmm, always wanted one, but wanted no part of the old AER nightmare.

While the AT-P is based on the ASU-57, it should be noted that the ASU-57 was based on the T-70, so technically the statement about being based on the T-70 is somewhat correct.

Not even the tracks. The ASU-57's tracks did not have the center drive hole like the T-70Ms had.

Wow! Trumpeter come up with the goods yet again. I'll definitely be getting one of these but we'll need a decent anti tank gun for it to tow; was it the T12? I can't quite remember. An interesting little vehicle and will look good on the display tables I reckon.
