The 17th issue of The Weathering Magazine focuses on classic finishing techniques of using washes, filters, and oils
The Weathering Magazine is the only magazine devoted entirely to the painting and weathering techniques of scale models and figures.

Issue 17 focuses on classic techniques such as washes, filters, and oil paints. Readers are shown both the standard approach to these techniques, and new methods of using well-known media. By way of fully documented examples, the use of enamel filters, dot technique, combined enamel-acrylic techniques, as well as new methods of using acrylic paints serving as washes are featured.

As always, this magazine explains, with detailed “step by step” articles, how to perform every technique as presented through high quality photos and concise descriptions by some of the finest modelers in the world.

Printed on high quality glossy paper, The Weathering Magazine is a collectible resource packed with useful techniques and inspiration.

This issue is in the English language only, and is also available in digital version.

Digital version has been out since last week, I looked through it over the weekend. It's not bad information, not at all... but calling anything new or revolutionary is a bit of a stretch. Happy Modeling.

I think it's pretty clear from the description and the website itself that this issue is more of a primer for well-known techniques. It would be great for beginners or even experienced modelers who would like to try something classic in a new way.

I have had the chance to take a quick look at it and, while washes/filters/oils are not new, it is very well explained.
