Universal Carrier 3 in. Mortar Mk.1

Following the series of British Universal Carriers, Riich will launch now the 3in. Mortar Carrier

As usual with Riich Carriers, it will be a very detailed model, with two photo etch frets, accessories and a good number of mortar rounds.

The mortar can be shown either deployed or stored on the back of the vehicle for transport, and there are lamps of both Canadian and British types.

This looks very interesting. I'd been debating building one as a conversion job but I may as well wait for this to come out now. Looking at the CAD drawings it looks very impressive.

I've always liked and disliked the Universal Carrier as a subject, though I confess building a couple of the Tamiya 1-35 offerings. The Riich versions have a good reputation (for example, PMMS - Terry gave the Mk I a 9.5/10 which is the highest rating I've seen him give). This kit just looks cool. Hopefully there's a crew somewhere in someone's pipeline for this new configuration.
