New from OKB Grigorov is its rendition of one of the competing designs for the KV-4 super heavy tank project.
As part of the Kliment Voroshilov tank design series, the KV-4 was a project to address the need for a super heavy tank. Several tank designers were engaged to prepare concept drawings and there were about 20 different submissions. Weight varied between 85 and 100 tons, armor by as much as 190mm thick. All had proposed the 107mm ZiS-6 as the main gun, and all had secondary guns, except for one design. The project did not go beyond this and was eventually cancelled. .
OKB Grigorov models its KV-4 having the single gun design. Kit V72056 is offered in 1/72 scale, and contains 150 resin parts, and 12 metal parts.
