W-Model has shared kit contents of its recent releases. Here we take a look at what is inside their Tor M2KM offering.
Designated by NATO as SA-15 Gauntlet, Tor was a Soviet air defense missile system that commenced development during the mid-1970s as the successor to the Osa (SA-8 Gecko). Entering service with the Soviet Army in 1986, its main objective was to shoot down air-launched cruise missiles. Over time it has gone thru a series of variants one of which being the Tor M2KM – a SAM system designed to simultaneously destroy four aerial targets. The Tor M2KM can be mounted on either a tracked or wheeled chassis, and W-Model's kit depicts the latter.
W-Model’s Tor M2KM (WB39) is issued as a limited edition kit. Cast in resin, it includes photo-etched parts.
