W-Model shares the kit contents of its recently released mobile Soviet troposcatter system.
Troposcatter communications, an offshoot of early radar technology, emerged in the 1950s during the period of intense competition between NATO and Warsaw Pact nations. The Soviets deployed troposcatter relay stations throughout northern Siberia and the Far East. Over time these were supplemented by mobile tactical systems, such as the R-417M Baget mounted on a KamAZ 4310 truck.
W-Model’s R-417 Baget (WB40) is offered as a limited edition kit in 1/72 scale. Cast in resin, the kit also includes photo-etched parts.
