Stalingrad is a well known company producing high-quality resin figures in 1/35 scale. The company now ventures into large scale, offering their first 1/16 figure.
S-601 - WSS Panzer Crewman, Kursk 1943

As always, the sculptor is Alexander Zelenkov, the creative force of the company. Cast in resin.

I hope this works out well for Stalingrad as we are in desperate need of 1/16th scale figures with the 1/16th scale offerings we now have in the way of tanks. The only thing I would have preferred to see is a figure designed for a purpose in or on a vehicles as Classy Hobby did. This figure is a fantastic stand alone large scale figure but does not shout use me with a vehicle. At least that is how I feel. The other concern is of course price as I think it will be hard to get the price right to encourage buyers to part with their cash verse making a realistic return on the investment. With all that said I do see an excellent figure here.

The details are superb and the paint job just wonderful but the whole thing is a bit of an uninspiring and 'stiff' pose. As the other commenter Darren said, given the number of 1/16 AFV's coming onto the market, something that could 'interact' with a model by way of a crew position etc. or doing something on the vehilce may have attracted more buyers? Irrespective, to those who just buy WW2 German /SS everything, I am sure it will do well. Gary

No question it's a well sculpted figure, but I agree that it does little to enhance or interact with all the 1/16th AFVs coming out. The pose is about as static as you can get. We know Stalingrad make some very energetic and interesting figures in 1/35 so hopefully they'll do some in this larger scale going forward.

For those interested, this is now on sale at 50$(US), as seen at LINK I agree that the figure is rather static, but can still interact with a vehicle from the ground, or engine deck. It will also work in nicely with the recently announced AFV 5 member crew....
