Also known by its NATO code name SA-22 Greyhound, the Pantsir-S1 is a combined short to medium range surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery weapon system. It was designed to provide point air defense of installations against aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles as well as protect air defense units from attack. The Pantsir-S1 can be mounted on heavy trucks such as the 10ton Ural-5323, Kamaz 6560 8x8 chassis, and MAN SX 45 truck chassis 8×8. Another mounting option is on a tracked chassis type GM-352M1E, as depicted by this kit from W-Model.
