Trumpeter fires back by announcing its kit depicting the US mobile anti-ballistic missile defense system
Highly mobile and deployable, the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system provides critical defense capability against short and medium-range ballistic missiles. Using hit-to-kill technology, it is able to engage a wide range of ballistic missile targets within, and outside the atmosphere. Each THAAD system is composed of interceptors, launchers, radar, fire control unit, and support equipment.

Trumpeter adds another to its HEMTT-based kits with the release of its Terminal High Altitude Area Defense Interceptor (01054). The kit will be offered in 1/35 scale and is scheduled for release this October.

Wow, given the shite on the Korean peninsula, this couldn't be more timely.

Dragon's Black Label releases have been pretty disappointing. I'll go with the Trumpeter version. I wish Trumpeter would release a 1/25 1960 DeSoto Adventurer. That should be good for a 1200 parts count kit.

Gino, according to Trumpeter's info on Facebook they're saying the THAAD is on for October.

I hope so. That should mean the M1120 LHS will be available then, or sooner as well since the THAAD vehicle is a modified M1120 LHS.

Trumpeter just announced the North Korean variant of the scud b - Hwasong-5. Probably a few minor updates to the scud kit with new decals
