Trumpeter releases its latest kit on the subject, this time featuring the US version.
The M270A1 is an upgraded version of the M270 MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System). The enhancements include cab and hull modifications to improve occupant survivability, and suspension modifications to accommodate the vehicle’s increased weight. The latest variant of the M270A1 uses a new Improved Armor Cab (IAC) to increase protection of the crew and the addition of mine protective seating.

M270/A1 Multiple Launch Rocket System – US (01049). Containing over 970 parts, the kit features a detailed multi-directional slide-molded cab, and lower hull, individual tracks links, as well as photo-etched details. When built, the model stands 200.5mm long and 89.5mm wide.

Background information on the vehicle sourced from ArmyRecognition.com.

I seen on Trumpeters FB page that this is available now. Anybody have any idea where to search? I search all the US online stores and HLJ.

That just means Trumpeter has released them. Give them probably a week to hit the Asian suppliers and a couple weeks to be available at US suppliers.

Just got mine today Crazy price for this kit any other 1/35 kit this size and I wouldn't have spent the money. If Trumpeter charges this kind of price all the time I will just stick to Tamiya and Meng in the future.

I can't figure out why this one is so expensive either. I guess you are paying extra or the US markings since the plastic is the same as in the Netherlands/Finland M270/A1 version (01047). I ended up buying this version for almost half the price of what they are asking for the US version. I will just make my own US markings for it. All the stenciling is there already (in english), so I am good.

For a moment I thought that price hike is due to the hiring of literate person able to prepare correct stencils. Apparently, I was wrong. Shame on you Trumpeter.
