Trumpeter has shared images of their new Sd.Kfz.7/3 Feuerleitpanzer, a vehicle that was used to control the V-2 rockets.
The Sd.Kfz. 7, a 8 ton halftrack, was primary intended for towing guns and transporting their crew. However, it also had several specific variants.
One of the was the Feuerleitpanzer, with an armoured room for control and observation of the V-2 launches.

The model features a full interior for the control room and a detailed exterior, with doors that can be shown open or closed.

Meaning no offense but I think all three model offerings are based on the original Sd. Kfz 7/3 and therefore it is no accident that all the models are very similar in detailing and execution.

Hi, Looking at there pictures the did take a good look at the original pictures from the HAP. But also they had a very good look at the updated LEADWARRIOR version of the Sd Kfz 7/3. But they don't have the right locking system on the door. For info on the Meillerwagen-Vidalwagen-V-2 rocket and the fueltankers look at the DMMB forum. LINK Greetings Bert

Any word yet on how close to release this kit is?

The problem is that Trumpeter are using their own Sd.Kfz. 7 which is not the best of those available. Lead Warriors kit is specifically designed for Dragons Sd.Kfz.7 so if they have copied they may have had to make changes. / Robin

Do you know if that is from the recent expo in Japan, where Hobby Boss is also showing off their B-24J Liberator? If so, I would hope at least the first half of 2019 if not late 2018. But could also be end of 2019, what do I know?
