A year after its M1A1 release comes another large scale Abrams kit from Trumpeter, this time featuring the M1A2 SEP.
Compared to the baseline M1A2 model, the M1A2 SEP (System Enhancement Program) has improvements made in the areas of armor protection, system and computer components. The first M1A2 SEP tank was delivered to the US Army in 1999. It is estimated that there are at least 900 M1A2 SEP tanks in service, a combination of newly-built and older models upgraded to SEP standards.

US M1A2 SEP MBT (00927). Trumpeter presents a 1/16 display kit that contains more than 1,000 parts in 22 sprues. It features details such as a multi-slide molded lower and upper hulls, individual track links, and photo-etched components. The model’s dimensions are 620mm (L) by 232mm (W) when built.
