Realistic cables on scale models can be a challenge that is difficult to overcome to the satisfaction of all modellers. RMG Resin Models has produced some items that on take these potential issues head on and overcomes them. Take a look inside for more details.
Most armoured vehicles are equipped with tow cables and cables for getting damaged track back where it belongs. Model kits of armoured vehicles usually have these features included but the materials used often leave a lot to be desired. Cotton thread is one option which is poor as it usually has a frayed look to it, plastic and vinyl offerings are usually poor due to the seam lines and the stiffness in some cases. Some manufacturers supply steel cables which are usually overly stiff and so difficult to make look natural on the model, but this is usually the best in terms of supplied items. RMG Resin Models has looked at this issue and come up with an alternative solution. RMG has metal cables of various thicknesses that are made of copper and are easily shaped however the modeller desires; add to these resin eye rings with beautiful detail in the form of casting marks and numbers and you have a stunning item to add to your model. RMG has released four new sets for the modeller covering the following vehicles:

RM108-2 - STRV 103C
RM055 – Merkava family and a number of Israeli vehicles
RM122 – Leopard 2A7
RM046 – Chieftain, Challenger 1 and 2 and AS90

Did you see the crap rant the RMG owner went on about Eureka XL on this very website? Not boycotting this manufacturer isn't even an option.

No I have no memory of that event.

Not that I don't believe you, but could you post a link? I'm boycotting Panzer Art for a similar reason.

I do recall the incident re RMG and Eureka, and see it as an emotional outburst from a small firm's owner, but that's my impression. Everybody should boycott any firm he likes. I find RMG make excellent towing cables and I bought a series of their sets, shortly after the above incident, by the way. Regarding boycotting Panzer Art, their inconsistent casting quality to me is a reason alone to not order their sets, but I am not familiar with a rant from their owner.

Panzer Art was claiming copyright infringement, because another company(want to say Meng) came out with a detail set that was similar(but not overtly) to theirs.

Your loss Matthew as I believe they are the best on the market at this time. As regards having a dig at another company selling a similar product I do not agree with the action and I don't really know what occurred to cause the outburst.

I won't buy, directly. eBay is another matter.
