It looks like a nice version of an IDF M113. I hope they fixed some of the missing items on the interior. The earlier Vietnam M113A1 ACAV is missing the transmission selection lever, ramp actuating lever, power distribution box, and driver's IR periscope in the driver's area; personnel heater, rear bilge drain pipe, and a fire extinguisher mounted in the rear. These items and a few others are shown at the great AMPS review of the kit by James Wechsler. I know most people won't catch them, nor care, but being a big fan of interiors, I know they are missing. Additionally, most of these parts were represented in previous M113 kits (Tamiya and Academy), so they should have been caught.

Also missing is the externally mounted Fire extinguisher on the rear RHS of the hull rest of it looks nice though. MJH

The hatch interior is also missing little details, but I am getting picky here. The seamline down the exhaust and the defying gravity rubber band tracks on the display model are a bit off putting, but these are easily fixed and at least they are showing the real deal, not CAD drawings. It is nice to see AFV Club do some variants. Hopefully they venture out a bit and do some Aussie vehicles such as the FSV with the Saladin turret - Tamiya's old one is just too much work. This and the ones equipped with the T50 turret would be a great complement to the Aussie Centurion they already do and Tamiya proved there is a market for them.

To be fair, the AFV Club kit was marked as "VN War" version and heaters were very often removed from M113s in Nam, as they took up a lot of space and were pretty much useless there.

Looking forward to this, whatever for it looks like. It will be a great kit to base detailing on. Still wish AFV Club would confirm what the interior layout is

Are you sure it features an interior? If you look closely trough the top hatch (the only one opened on their built model) it looks pretty spartan, almost empty. Also, there is no mention whatsoever of any interior on their boxart cover. Their Vietnam M113 did mention interior details, while here it advertises only external details.

there will be an interior, but I think it will be the same as the Vietnam version. As it's nothing new, they're not promoting it. If they had an all new central bench layout, it would be a feature.

Maybe a correct interior with central bench seat will become available from Hobby Fan? Along with figures, too?

Just received the IDF M113A1 Nagmash 1973 from AFV Club. A great looking kit, with a newly tooled hull and a specific sprue for this version. You also get a couple of sprues from the Doher/Rochev and the 2 x weapons sprues for the FNs. Lots of spare bits as a result. You get the ACAV shield bits still, and the interior remains unchanged.
