Not much information for the moment, other than these 3D renders which look quite detailed.

What the heck is a "Bumerang"? Is this some weird translation problem or a Russian slang term that no one else could possibly understand? Or, to be "tongue in cheek" (Oh, how cheeky) if a boomerang always returns to the thrower (assuming and skill) then does a bumerang do something similar? Oh the possibilities on this foolish name or ENDLESS, if albeit rather collegiate... Nice kit possibility, by the way.

Geez, I just googled it and the goofy term actually means boomerang, albeit in another language. Silly let-down...on the other hand all those weird one-liners still exist as possibilities...

A bumerang is a boomerang that doesn’t come back, I.e. a stick.

I'm a little confused why you would expect a Russian company building Russian vehicles would use non-Russian names. It's spelled Bumerang because its transliterated from Cyrillic.

Regardless, it is a pretty weird name choice for a Russian vehicle.

They named the three axle armoured truck/APC Typhoon ... maybe the name is intended for the export market

They named the three axle armoured truck/APC Typhoon ... maybe the name is intended for the export market[/quote] I knew it was due to the transliteration from Cyrillic but if it is intended for export the Russians might want to go with the usual English spelling. Or do they really want to market what could be nicknamed "bummer" or a "bum" vehicle? I remember seeing a Chinese kit of the Soviet Typhoon spelled Typhun which has it's own connotations.
