ICM Holding were at Nuremberg where I managed to have a word with them about their future plans. I also managed to get hold of their 2008 catalogue which forms the basis for this report.
There are three categories of releases - 1/35th, 1/48th and 1/72nd. Figure releases are limited to one 1/35th scale set although more may well be announced during the course of the year...

ICM - 1/35th Scale releases

All of these new releases are going to be extremely welcome although the Matilda will probably get the most attention:

35512 - BM-13-16N This is the Studebaker US6 truck with the 'Katyusha' Rocket launcher rails mounted on the truck bed.

35522 - le.gl. Einheits-Pkw (Kfz.2)

35581 - Matilda Mk.IV The A12 Matilda in its (frequent) guise as a lease-lend vehicle.

ICM - 1/48th Scale releases

48191 - Sd.Kfz 222

48201 - Opel Admiral Staff Car

ICM - 1/72nd Scale release

72461 - Krupp L2H143 Kfz.69 with Pak 36

Finally, in refence to the figure set I mentioned at the beginning of this report:

35591 - Luftwaffe Officer's Party Another of these interesting 'vignette' pieces, this one looks as if it's going to include a piano (a first in injection-moulded?)

Very nice newsitem Jim. Thanks for posting it... That Stoewer Kubel is definately a really nice addition to the German PKW collection in scale... a really manly looking Kubel. I think I even will buy that set of the luftwaffe officer party... only for the piano. (if one is provided in the kit that is) And an Opel Admiral too..... oh wait Wrong scale. (this is no rant to you Jim) All the power to the Quarter scale guys but the cry for 1:35 civilian cars has been going on so long now... surely the companies must have picked it up by now.... Probably it is much cheaper to bring them out in quarter scale.

Well, some of the 35th scale people are also going to be furious when they see the Japanese light truck in 48th scale from Hasegawa

Hi Guys, Soem interesting stuff here. Never built any of their kits are they reasonably good? Cheers Al

Not an easy question to answer. Their recent kits are really excellent. The aviation people speak very well of some of their recent releases. Dave (Grumpy) recently built and reviewed their Studebaker Truck and gave it a very good rating indeed https://armorama.kitmaker.net/review/2876 The biggest problem with ICM is that they DON'T release too many kits - people tend to overlook them...

Luftwaffe Officer's Party looks very interesting: Two luftwaffe officers and four civilian persons They could be two women, a waiter and the piano player? You could have a lot of fun with a set like that.

I just ordered the part photo etch set to do another Studebaker, so I'm still happy to see that kit. It was only a matter of time before they also released the Katyusha version. I'm also happy to see the Kfz.2 coming soon, (it was announced a while ago) a much more manly looking kubel than the VW Thing. (I use to date a babe with a VW Thing!) I'm sure the Matilda will be a popular seller for them. But I really like the figure set. (I can see a little conversion possibilities on this one already, especially if it comes with the piano. The only let down for me is the Opel Admiral Staff Car, being done in 1/48th.

It's a shame the Opel will not be 1/35 scale too. There are so few sedans available in that scale, as in none, and they are sorely needed. Cheers Scott Fraser
