I'm not into WWI stuff, but I really like the look of that thing. Plus, it's Canadian! Anybody know anything about this? Like how many were made?

These were produced by Autocar (the vehicles were known as the Armoured Autocar) and equipped the 1st Canadian Motor Machine Gun Brigade, which I believe were the first mechanized armoured unit in the world. There is one preserved in the Canadian War Museum. Cheers, Scott

Maybe it's me, but this thing looks like it just drove in from an Indiana Jones movie. Eh?

This is a fantastic choice and I look forward to it. First Canadian armoured vehicle and as Scott has noted, the Canadian Automobile MG Brigade (later called the Motor Machine Gun Brigades) was essentially the world's first purposely organized armoured unit. Canada - first armoured unit, first nation to send tanks to Afghanistan, there seems to be a tiny bit of trend...

Talk about basic...the Victorian era meets the MG and internal combustion engine.

Well, there ya go! Perhaps a good candidate of a kit for the next "Science Fiction Campaign"!!

Cars routinely go more than 100,000 miles with simple routine maintenence.
