Carl: "Honey, doesn't this look nice. Do you think I should build one?" Josie: "Yes dear, it is kinda cool." Oh boy, I got permission to buy one.

Has Trumpeter retooled these Strykers or just made new versions? Is the gun station retooled compared to the initial releases? I am looking to buy one for the Stryker campaign, but cannot decide which one to go with. I had initially choosen the AFV Club because of the crisper detail and better gun station, but maybe Trumpeter is more on par now?

Lots of parts retooled, include the hull, the gun station ,the tyre, and so on.

Yup, looks like they have made several improvements on the original kit-note all the little tie down loops now molded on the various fittings, the RWS has been improved, some useful etch now included, and the tires are new (look very similar to afv clubs tires....)I wonder if they sorted out the dimensional problems? TBH i can see my self buying these and just using the bits to convert the afv club kits.

oh man here we go again i see ther turning out more new kits that will eventually find a home in my closet. . i wish they would slow down a little i do work for a livining and this is not helping matters.

Ok, well they look good, however there are still the problems with the step rings, only the 1st and 2nd Brigades had them issued with all 8 step rings in place. After that there was only 1 step ring on the left front "drivers" tire. The DVE is still modeled infront of the driver. The only Brigade to have them there, and was later changed was the 1st Stryker Brigade. If you look at the AFV model you will see where they moved it up to the right side of the drivers hatch (facing the front). Ric
