Thanks for the news Jim. Its great to see another in this series (actually I checked out their site, and never knew there was a 3 or 4 either). I have numero 1 & 2, and if they are anything to go by, this should be another book, really worth having. For anybody that hasnīt seen these before, they are a bit like AFV Modeller in quality .. builds, paper and photo quality. Some very inspirational work and great tips for both AFVs and diormamas, where there is a section for both. Approx. 6 -7 builds per book. In some recent threads I have been very negative about magazines in general, and its books like these that are my comparisons and reference. A bit more expensive individually, but one of these has the equivelent of 3 or 4 mags in top class articles, therefore much cheaper ... especially when comparing to Swedish prices. No advertisements, and no filler features that are already covered online in much better detail. Like other books of this standard (extreme - the Spanish way or Osprey modelling series), even if the subjects are not relevent to your current or planned builds, theres still so much to take in and be inspired by.

I couldn't agree more. I don't completely share the view that magazines are becoming completely outdated but I definitely hold the view that in certain sectors of magazine publishing, there's an insufferable smugness which denies any need to modernize, change or even re-evaluate what they're publishing. With the cost of books such as this (Extreme Modelling being an excellent example), magazines (particularly for those of us who have to pay premium prices for imported titles) are becoming more and more example - books are NOW a much cheaper and more satisfying alternative...
