The Factory Publishing are to release two new books, one on the Panzers of the Afrika Korps in Tunisia and another on British and Indian Army Shermans in the Far East.
The two books are:
Panzers of Kasserine, The Afrika Korps in Tunisia. Campaign Series
And
British and Indian Army Shermans in the Far East. Colour and Markings Series
In the first book Claude Gillono, who has previously authored books on the Tiger 1 and French Shermans of the Liberation, examines the final months of the embattled Panzers of the Afrika Korps in Tunisia, using many previously unpublished photographs and full colour illustrations.
The book will be in stock on Friday, 12. September 2008, Price $27.95
In the second book, well known author, Dennis Oliver examines the fascinating and neglected subject of British and Indian Shermans in The Far East.
In the book Dennis examines the camouflage and markings, local modifications and the histories of the units using the Sherman. Also covered is the peace keeping effort in post-war Indonesia. Black and white archive photos are complemented by full colour illustrations.
The book should be with the printers by the end of the month.
Price $27.95
The Factory Publishing have been collaborating with Johan Lexell of Bison Decals on the artwork and he’ll be releasing sheets of decals in 1/35th and 1/72nd scale based on the illustrations in the book. It is hoped that this will be an ongoing cooperation with books on the Cromwell and Centaur and the Hermann Goering Division in Sicily being released before the end of this year.
