This kit is way too cool. Too bad I have the R/C versions to build, for this would be pretty nice to have sitting on my office desk. Awesome report too!

I don't care. I want it. Bad. I'll paint the gauge faces.

I hope the price will be a great deal less than the $600.00. I really like the Tiger II tanks and I've been on pins and needles since the first mention of this kit. I'd really like to build one of these but if they're going make that kit that expensive. I guess I'd better pray I can find it cheaper on ebay or something.

Best to pre-order it - I've got one on pre-order from a hobby shop that I frequent in Bastogne. It's my Christmas present to myself this year. Apparently it's going to be a limited production run, so the chances of it appearing cheap on eBay are probably pretty low. Full details in the link here: http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/newkitnews/trumpeter.htm I'm also looking forward to Trump's Soviet 203 mm gun in 1/35. - Steve

Nice so far; but somehow I want to wait for the first reviews. Why they issue product's pics nearly right before the pre-order's dead-line? My local retailer here in Germany offered this kit by pre-order for 300 Euro (regular price will be 350). I am not worry about a selling off of this Tiger II as the "Porsche-Turm" I prefer (Arnhem Camo) will follow as a regular offer. And who knows: Maybe in the nearest future Hobby Boss offer again a scaled-down version in 1:48 for a knock-down-price like they have done before with the T-34?

I really hope there'll be a "regular" kit as well. (Though I got some from people on other forums saying that the price is a tad too high for my taste... If they went for mass-production instead of the "exclusive" thing, it could probably have been lower.) The thing is that I have a few 1/35 resin interiors (mainly TWS) and the detail on the photos of this beast does not always look as fine and crisp as in the smaller scale resins. (What will I get for this remark, I can't wait to see.) It's not just the dials -they might give decals for that. That having said, and apart from the fact that right now I'm building a 1/35 KT with full interior, I really, really wish I could put my hands on one of these.
