Sometimes the manufacturers come up with that little detail for a Diorama which would just make all the difference. Here's a New Release from MK35 Editions which should find its way into a few dioramas.
During the Occupation of France, there was a co,mplete lack of gasoline for business and private use. Therefore, other alternatives had to be found. A good example of this were the bicycle taxis which were used throughout France - the subject of this new release from MK35 Editions:

A089 - BICYCLE TAXI 1940-45

The set is composed of 22 resin parts including bicycle and canvas.

As to 'Military-Use' i've seen images of them being used as impromtu ambulances during the uprising against the Germans in Paris in 1944. Now, there's a thought!

Our thanks to MK35 Editions for the Update!

I applaude the subject but Im guessing its meant to be "in motion" as there are no spokes??? CHris

sweet! My first thought was a southeast asian diorama. I'd first swap in the Tamiya bike; I don't believe they ran those taxis with racing bikes!!

The rider of that bike is going to be one strong dude...it's a single speed. All we need is PE aftermarket with a modern seat, new chain, double cranks, rear derailleur, clipless pedals and spokes. Then clean off the fenders from the tires. Voila...modern bike! Quite cool as is, though.

I was recently contemplating scratch building something like this with some Tamiya bicycles And those bikes that come with the Viet Cong. Maybe this new release will save me some time..........Al
