The M2/M3 Halftracks are very well-documented in Allied WWII service. However, although there are good sources out there, the M2 & M3 in Israeli service needs a 'boost' in its coverage. SabingaMartin Publcations have just sent us notification of their latest series - covering the Halftrack in I.D.F. service.
Just published from SabingaMartin Publcations is:

Israeli Half Tracks - Volume 1

This book is volume 1 in the “Israeli Half Tracks” series on Israeli Half tracks and deals with the First Half tracks in IDF service. The book includes:

■80 pages - including 38 in full color
■More than 300 black and white and color photos and illustrations
■Dozens of unique and previously unpublished photos
■In-action photos
■Walk-around photos
■1/35 scale line drawings
■Newly discovered, unique markings
■Detailed color profiles
■Tactical markings

Authored by Dr. Robert Manasherb, whose work on research into I.D.F. vehicles should require little in the way of introduction, this new book contains dozens of new and never published photos, new and accurate info and facts. The result of 10 years of research 1/35 scale drawings, profiles, crew photos, walk around photos (including main components of the Half tracks), unique markings and a total of 300 photos and drawings.

Cool. I've been waiting for this title. I'll be ordering it VERY soon. BTW, anyone know of companies that produce 1/35 conversions for these IDF Halftracks (Besides AEF Designs)?

Very cool indeed. Patrick, back in the day, there was a company whose name escapes me at the moment, Criel-model maybe? Anyway, they were out of Italy and they had a full kit of an IDF HT. Very cool looking, but a bit pricey if memory serves me correctly. I have looked for them since, but can't seem to re-locate them. Others may know more, but there was somebody out there who did an IDF version other than AEF...who I won't even or need to comment on. Not much but I hope it helps a little.... "Q"

Hey Q. Thanks for the info. BTW, I was made aware of one company that does a couple IDF halftrack conversions: Mouse House out of Australia. They do a couple based on the M5. However, they aren't the ones I'm lookin' for.
