'Neubaufahrzeug' is literally 'New Production Vehicle'. It was a title used (amongst other projects) to a series of five prototype vehicles - PzKpfw NbFz V ('PanzerKampfwagen NeubauFahrzeug V') which has been announced in model form from Cyber-Hobby
The New Model will be:

6666 - Neubau-Fahrzeug Rheinmetall.Fargestall und Krupp Turm Geändarte MG-Türme

Now, its a reasonably obscure subject (although it DID see service in Norway in 1940) and it may well have limited appeal. However, and this is somewhat connected with my thoughts about DML/Cyber-Hobby. This, in my opinion, is a brilliant release. No, it isn't mainstream, but it's a very interesting subject its also the kind of vehicle which would previously only have been available in a limited-run resin kit (at a correspondingly high price). It differs greatly from the 'Paper-Panzers' as it saw actual service. On a purely 'aesthetic' level' it's got a wonderful shape!

At 79.99 USD, it better be good!

No kidding, I thought I was looking at a Bronco kit price tag for a second. Pretty steep. Roy

Too steep for me Gary. I will wait for the general release I think.

I will most likely order one and use my built up Dragon dollars towards it, but still its a lot for a tank model.

Finding out that this thing would take 79.99 USD, and some more to ship, took a lot of my enthusiasm away. SWMBO would probably tear an unpleasant chunk outta me were I to spend over 80 round men on a kit! Dragon may want to rethink that pricing a bit.... Bob

Very cool release. Another tank I never thought I would see in injection plastic. Very refreshing However, I would agree the price is very steep. Especially since 80,00 USD probably becomes around 120 USD before it hits the shelves in the EU. Too much for me. I will wait and see if a cheaper version comes along.

Keep an eye on LINK They sometimes have special pricing on these new releases. I might just have to bite the bullet and buy this kit. The dollar is so weak against other currencies and that is what drives these prices up....Interestingly enough..Trumpeter has lowered it's prices 15% across the board at Greatmodels!!! Whassup with dat? Still..this looks like a lot of plastic and I want it! Jeff

I just got a copy od German Armored Rarities by Michaeo Sowodny He states that of the five made total, two were made with mild steel. They had the Rheinmetall turret. The Rheinmetall had a75mm gun mounted under a 75mm gun. Three were made with armor plate, 16mm front, 13mm sides. They had the Krupp turetet with a 105mm gun and 75mm gun side by side. The Krupp turreted vehicles were sent to Norway. Thismodel kit has the Krupp turret and therefore is correct for Norway..
