Cyber Hobby have just added some considerable detail to their previous announcement of a 25 Pounder in 1/35th Scale.
The New, 1/35th Scale Model will be:

6675 - British 25-Pdr. Field Gun Mk.2 with Limber & Crew

This was previously announced but all that was shown was the box-art. Now though, CAD images have been published (which we've re-edited and hopefully improved) which shows that is looking like a very serious project indeed.

Strangely though, it's come under the Cyber-Hobby label, it would, if only for distribution benefits might have been better under the usual DML release program.

However, it's a 25 Pounder and it's new with some very intresting-looking features, so any complaints would be pretty churlish in the circumstances!

Good to see another new 25 pdr on the market. I've just finished building the old Tamiya kit, which I see has been re-released, and I recently purchased the new Bronco 25pdr. Still looks like another to add to the list and new troops are always welcome. Now some new vehicles to tow them would be good! Al

Whilst I am sure this will see the light of day it is still just CAD representations and doesn't offer me anymore than the excellent and cheap Bronco offering which IS available in the flesh. The Crew area nice addition and I hope they release these seperately via DML. I worry about the price difference being cyber Hobby and I'll bet it isn't the $30 Aust I just paid locally for the Bronco example which even has the Pheasant parts included. Still it is nice to see a choice Al

A very nice offering . The images look great and a gun crew as well. I look forward to purchasing this. The crew although very well shaped will bring this gun alive in firing mode. Michael

Just out of curiosity, what is up with DS tires? I'm glad they aren't vinyl, but is there any reason to not make them out of styrene? I think the kit looks great from the CAD images, and I don't mind multiple manufacturers making the same British or American subjects.

re: the physique of the figures - gunners (like bricklayers) do tend to bulk up - handling heavy rounds will do that to a fella.

The size of the pictures make it difficult to be sure but the gun appears accurate as does the ammo tray and limber, hopefully I will get a chance to take a closer look at some point. As for the crew I don't see an issue as you can accentuate the body details or not, and there have been a number of requests for topless figures which it appears this set will meet.

Looks very nice but the crew all look they've done Charles Atlas courses and don't look very realistic.

I really am just happy that they've released this kit at all. I think the figures are nice and so what if they look a little buff? A few years ago we were all crying that noone was releasing any Allied stuff at all. This is head and shoulders above the old Tamiya offering.....that they've just re-released. I'm really looking forward to getting this one.....as soon as I win the lottery!!! Things are looking up on the Allied front. We finally have manufacturers producing Allied vehicles, artillery and figures in 1/35. I like what I've been seeing so far this year in the way of releases. It's a good time to be a modeller. I'm just getting too old to buy everything I want....it'll just sit in the stash and I'll never build it. It's a good complaint to have though. Jeff

A note here, this is a "Green Box" release so it is essentially the same as a regular Dragon release. I hope we see this soon. Normally when we see posters like this the kit is not too far behind. Ifd it was just box art then we may be waiting. Hopfully this will also mean that a Sexton won't be too far away. Roy
