After the success of the their German Paratroopers Zvezda seem to be on a figure drive releasing a very interesting mix of 1/35th and 1/72nd scale figures from World War Two. On this occasion they have two new figure sets in each of these scales, with one of the figure sets from each scale having a ride to boot.
Covering the 1/72nd scales sets first we have;
• German Motorcycle R-12 which is provided with two appropriate figures and a display stand.
• A four figure German reconnaissance set also provided with a base.
These figures have been released with war gamers in mind however I suspect that they will also appeal to the braille scale modeller in general.

Moving onto the 1/35th scale releases we have:
• Soviet Motorcycle М-72 which is supplied with the option of three figures allowing the model to be depicted at the rear during some R&R or at the front. I believe this is the first time that this motorcycle and side car has been offered and I for one am looking forward to it.
• The second offering is Soviet Reconnaissance Team which has a three man Russian reconnaissance team with a German prisoner.

I have to say that not only has Zvezda been very ambitious in their efforts lately, but they are also doing a very good job. Most impressive, I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Russ are they made of hard gluable plastic or the soft toy soldier kind?

Zvezda are certainly releasing some interesting stuff. The recon time is most interesting with the captured German. It'll be interesting to see how that figure and the others build out of the box.

Pat, it's a little in between. It will take glue, but the plastic is soft enough to allow a little manipulation when being assembled. I'm submitting two kit reviews that my son assembled that will show this better, I hope.

Great sets!!! I love the one with the German prisoner with the scouts, definitely need to buy it. Maybe even mix and match with that set from MB "Crossroad/ 3572" .
