Some good models coming up, nice work people!
Unfortunately, I might be dropping out of this one. First I have some timing issues and second, I gave my kit and the conversion set away to another modeller friend, who have been looking for them. I won't be buying new kits soon (with oversized stash and budget constraints) and I don't have any more suitable kits. Sorry guys... 2008 is a year that I'll slow down in this hobby unfortunately.
Have a good campaign!

J.Mayer, looks good. Interesting conversion.
Emre, sorry to hear you are slowing down, but I know how real life can interfere with modelling projects

Great camo on that uniform. My question is how or what do you use to do the small dots on the uniform? It looks complicated.

Thanks Erik! Answering your question - just a brush... (MagPol 00).

I am resigning from this campaign.....
Appearrantly i hit hit some kind of buildersblock; nothing gets done right now. All I do is look at it and put it away again.
Sorry about that....

hey,
Thanks Jesper, just a little info on this model,it isn't a conversion, but one of Schmidt's full vacuform kits, they also did conversions,Ive built their radio truck which was a conversion for Italeri's 3 ton "Blitz" before Italeri came out with their own Radio truck, and have a ambulance box to fit on the Italeri "Blitz" which I haven't gotten to yet.
This 1.5 ton ambulance is full vac, including the frame, the springs, front axle, rear end, grill and wheels are white metal(maybe lead),quite soft and all needed to be straighten ,I was going to use wheels from Show Modeling, but those wheels are slightly large than what came with this model,so I had to use the metal ones, with the metal parts, this little gem is quite heavy, vac model aren't as scary as they look, but do require a whole different approach to building them, and their are extra little things that need to be done(inside),that make them go together much easier.I think I've got 4/5 vac's sitting on my shelf, including a real odd command/communication vehicle ,that will need the lower half of Tamiya's 232.

Interesting info, Joe. That is definently a strange looking command vehicle. I have not seen that one before. When you get around to building it, you should share it with the rest of us.

hey,
Ive come across three pics of that vehicle,I have a couple Tamiya 232 sitting here, but couldn't get my self to grab one just for some parts,I've been watching ebay, hoping I will come across one in a junk pile, but I'am getting tried of waiting, and may start on it soon.not much is known about that vehicle,my understanding is only one was found, after the war, sitting at a proving grounds,I'am not sure if anyone really knew what it's full purpose was.odd thing was,I saw the pic, long before I knew about the Schmidt offering, and wondered how difficult it would be to scratch build it,then a couple years ago, just by chance,I found mine on ebay ,by accident,it also comes with white metal wheels, but I'll probably use the wheels that come with the Taimya 232 .

Hello fellow Medic Campaigners! Here's my contribution to the Campaign.
It's a Tamiya's 1/35 Kubelwagen with a CMK Krankenwagen/Reichspost conversion.
Painted in Tamiya acrylics, washed with W&N oils and dusted with MIG pigments.
Comments, critiques and questions welcome. -Jerry
**Thanks to Jon for a fun campaign! As my screen name implies, I just couldn't pass on this one.

Jerry,
Great Kubelwagen! I'm just wandering how many wounded soldaten could be pressed inside . Taking under consideration that the engine and additional ambulance compartment was in the back it could be quite dangerous to drive up the hill .
Great job

The Unimog is on the shelf and will not come off for the Forseeable future. It is an awful kit that I simply cant work with while building the Leopard 2A3 (which is another matter alltogether!)
SO! Onward with the UNOSOM TPz-1 Fuchs!
Everyone is doing great work here. I'm really proud that all the combat medics are being honoured with our builds!

Hi!
Some work in progress report. I've already presented you my medic, now it's time for his victims and his vehicle (as you can see figures still require some work and the ambulance requires a lot of work...- I've just started assembling tracks and they're mess...)

If the Fuchs is the Revell kit in 1/35, beware... Not a great experience. The kit needs lots of work, possibly some good AM parts.

Emre you are not saying anything untrue, this thing is not a good kit either.............
But ANYTHING is better than the Unimog. Nothing about the Unimog has turned out right!

Ok the Unimog is a bad memory and my OOB build of the SanFuchs is well underrway! Tonight I completed the hull and sprayed the gloss white. This week comes decals, adding the suspension and wheels. How gooooooodddd it feels to just build one and not beat myself to death with it!
