Darryl,
Try this way (I've placed spaces between letters to show the code):
just remove the "thumbs" part from address and add "[ i m g ]" on the beggining and "[ / i m g ]" on the end of the address.
[ i m g ] h t t p : // g a l l e r y . k i t m a k e r . n e t / d a t a / 5 0 0 / 3 1 3 1 0 . j p g [ / i m g ]

Darryl,
I almost forgot - diorama looks great! I like the groundwork and flowers
I found out that I'm falling in love with tiny dioramas - just big enough to fit the models presented.

No problem - it took some time before I found out how to post a picture from Kitmaker.net gallery - unfortunately this gallery gives you only the address to a thumb... I'm happy I could help!
Once more: nice job

Hey everyone,
Here is my contribuition to the 'Medic!' Campaign. I decided upon doing a diorama, instead of the normal ambulances, vehicles etc..... It's based on a medical convoy having been caught up in the Falaise Pocket during the German retreat from North West France in August 1944. I wanted to try & convey the chaos & destruction the allies air superiority had over the retreating German forces, bombing & machine gunning them from the skies, with little or no retaliation possible from the German on the ground, and just the helplessness of it all.

The figures are mostly from Tamiya, the guy right out front is from 'Masterbox', the old bloke on his bike & the guy with the bandage & sling are from 'MK35'. The Opel Blitz & Horse Drawn Convoy are from 'Italeri'.

The wooden gate was made from plastic card, the groundwork was the normal plaster, sand, paint & glue combination. Airbrushed with various shades of brown & finished with MIG pigments. The hedge was made up of twigs, roots, lichen, dried herbs & seaweed. Yes....., seaweed. I washed it well, dried it, sprinkled with herbs & painted it in various shades of green. I was pretty pleased with the result it gave, unlimited source of heges for future projects!! The tree was a branch, with steel wool on top, again sprinkled with herbs & airbrushed. The grass was hanging basket lining, static grass & long grass.

The reason for including the French civilian on his bike was to add abit of 'normality' to the scene, with civilians trying to go about their daily life whilst all hell was going on around them. No doubt a German would've attempted to commandeer his bike....but that was futher on up the road......

Thanks to everyone for looking, all comments gratefully welcomed!!
Cheers for now,
SIMON.

Simon,

Looks great! I am a horse fan anyway, but I like the layout and everything.

I had to drop out of this one. I had my build getting ready for paint this week and my darn dogs knocked it off my desk. A small truck does not stand a chance against two 100 pound rotweillers.

Hi!,

@ Simon - beautiful diorama! I do like the way you've planned the whole thing.
@ Jim - sorry to hear that I'll not see your model for this campaign, but I will not argue with your doggies...

I have a big problem with decals from Master Box... they are very hard, it is impossible to lay them correctly without them showing and they are breaking even after a delicate touch... I tried to use stronger decal streching solution - two of them are OK now, two of them are far from OK but I'll be able to correct it and one of them partially melted destroying part of my modell... there is a big stain in front of the vehicle... I have to clear this part, repaint it and paint the marks again (I'll not risk this f*#$%#ng decal again...)... Fortunately there will be a figure sitting in this place partially covering the damaged area...

Great diorama, Simon. Very nice layour of the scene and a lot of small stories tied together well in a big diorama.

The only thing that looks a little unrealistic is the way the sides of the Opel Blitz has "melted". It would not look like this as the sides of the truck are made of wood. This is a minor detail that does not distract from the overall great diorama.

Very nice ground work. Especially the tree looks good.

Thanks for sharing

Easter Greetings Everyone!
I'm proud to anounce that I've just completed my first campaign here . Model (with a small diorama) is done (after a long struggle). My entry is Panzer I ausf A in ambulance version.
Pictures are in official gallery, and some more of them I'd like to show here (hope you like them):

I'd really like to see your opinion about it!

Nice entry for the campaign, Andrzej! How did you make the name plate? Did you make it yourself or did you have it made in a shop?

Hi Jesper!
I'm happy you like this one - belive me: this model was probably the worst I've ever done... No part had fit to another, decals were a disaster... FUBAR...
Concerning the name plate - it's a print-out on a standard paper glued to a base made of plastic sheets and painted with Humbrol gloss varnish.

I am surprised. It looks three dimensional. I thought it was plastic letters from some unknown source that could be used to create name plates. Looks good - especially for a print out.

@ Joe, thanks for comments; you're 100% right - this is MB and building it was a nightmare... Why I'm not surprised that you've used it with a flak conversion? Hmmm... maybe it's your username? You don't like planes very much, do you?

@ Jesper, it really is only a printout (I used laser printer at work), but I was thinking what could give a 3d look to it - I think it is a thick layer of gloss varnish (it is REALLY thick - I painted it 3 times). I was thinking about cutting out some letters, but it's a bit expensive and I don't know anybody with machine that would assure satisfying precission.

With greater demands from home & work I desparately need an extension. Just have to finish weathering and get the tracks on. I do not know if it will be done for 2 April, but will try.

I too would love an extension! Maybe just a week? I have a term paper and midterm due tomorrow and will get next to nothing done! Thanks and if you don't want to extend it I will understand.

To all seeking an extension:

Due to some unavoidable events in my life I too have been unable to complete my entry in the campaign. Therefore I will add a week to the campaign from April 1 2008 to allow those enlisted to complete their projects. (Provided this is approved by the campaigns admin)

Thanks to all who have completed and participated thus far.

Thanks a bunch! I made some headway after class today. I just need to finish the groundwork of the vignette.
