Thanks Lars.

Yes I think upgraded armor would be a good idea as would the M151 RWS

I've ordered the top decal set above (MAD606) from Mouse House

However It doesn't seem to have white chevron's as in the top Leo 1 photo above. ie: "22' called "Bundeburg" (that'll be a cool one to do I think).

Any ideas where I can get a set of these chevrons please ?

Cheers

Just mask off the chevrons and paint them on.....even better than decals.

Just like the Leopard AS1........an Australian Leopard 2AS6 should be able to mount.......

-mine plow
-mine rollers
-dozer blade

There may not be a reason to swap out the MG3....the AS1 retained them.

How about a transparent gun shield for the loader's machine gun?

Anti-IED equipment fitted to the front fenders like on the Challenger 2s in Iraq wouls also be useful on deployments.

Thanks Jason.

I'll use a stencill for the Chevron's & I'll add the above to the 'wish list'.

I'll need to think about attachment points for the plow etc to the front of the vehicle.

Cheers

Thanks to John from Mouse House for the tip !!

G'day Scotty !

Great find from you. That is Brilliant !

I've seen the real tanks photo from memory somewhere. You've got to love that 'dozer blade' !

I'll have to join up to get a look at some larger pictures and some details

Thanks mate. Also looking forward to those phone box pics.

Cheers

That PSO is Waaaaay Cool Scott !!

I wonder what RWS it is using. Also that additional Turret armor is something different isn't it ?

I think my best option would be to try to 'kit bash' the Mouse House Leopard 1 blade onto the Leo 2 Hull. This may need some scratch work and and bit of modification.

Jason did a review of that kit (MA119) a while ago.

I think this whole 'project' will have a lot of resin in it

Is that the coolest AFV you've ever seen ?

Thanks Scotty.

Imagine that with a few of the other mod's I've mentioned as well as Aussie Camo in the link I've posted and that would be the 'neatest' tank ever

No tank/Infantry phone that I know of on the Leopard 2.......it was designed to fight tanks.....and not be a multi-role MBT like the Leopard 1.

There are no aftermarket plows or rollers for the Leopard 1 or 2.........it is too bad there isn't one yet.

One a side note........when the modifications begin to the other Canadian Leopard 2s they will have fittings for modified plows and rollers.......but not anytime soon.....maybe around 2011?

WIth some work and patience the Abrams rollers and mine plows could probably be adapted to the Leopard 2 hull....no one can say it wouldn't be accurate as it is a "what if" project.

Thanks Jason.

How about the Mouse house Dozer blade on the Tamiya Leopard 2 ?

How much work do you think would be involved in fitting that ?

I am not sure how much work it would take...........probably have to redesign the hull mounting plate to fit the front hull angles of the Leopard 2.

It would be a matter of test fitting it and modifying it from there........but as the dozer blade is meant for the Leopard 1 it would not be as wide as it should be for the wider Leopard 2 hull.

A dozer blade for a Challenger 2 might be a better start for the size of the blade?

It may be cheaper to get the Kosovo Challenger kit from Trumpeter and use the Dozer blade from that.......

Thoughts everyone ?

Probably easier to mod too, and like you say Jason width would be more appropriate !
